Stone Groyne, Lyme Regis

I love Dorset and Lyme Regis, right in the west of the county, in particular. My family and I have been holidaying there since around 2005 and I never grow tired of it

I'm not a natural early riser but on this morning I was down at the seafront for sunrise. It looked as though it was time to leave but all of the sudden the sky was full of these beautiful pink, peach and mauve tones. I didn't have a lot of time so used what I had. The man made straight lines of the groyne counterpoint the natural forms of the rocks and a long exposure smoothed out the sea to a flat calm. I like it's minimalist look

But ultimately this image is all about those lovely tones in the sky.
